We support, just to name a few, AVI, ASF and MP4 Container types, and each is proved with MP3, AAC, G.726 and AMR audio container formats (MP3 Decoder/Encoder not provided in package) - Plus a diverse selection of add-ons like 3GP/3GPP and 3G2/3GPP2 for Handy! videos and a specific MP4 container for Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) and Apple Video iPod.
Also highlighted is the support for Japanese 3GP/3G2 files, including Branding for Vodafone, DoCoMo/NTT and auKDDI as well as the ability to send hint tracks with your video streams - not to mention our chaptering technology for AVI and MP4 file containers, DRM Integration in 3GP videos, and the availability of metadata for 3GP and iPod.

- AAC Decoder Filter / Parser (Reader), Sink (Writer)
- AMR Encoder Filter / Parser (Reader), Sink (Writer)
- AMR Decoder Filter
- AVI File Source Filter / ASF File Source Filter

- AAC Audio Codec
All included filters support the playback and creation of MPEG-4 Video, AAC & AMR audio and require DirectShow to work.
MJPEG Video Codec
Motion JPEG has died out? Not at all. On the one hand it has never really disappeared from technology (rather has it been moved from the limelight), on the other hand it experiences its renaissance in public - even though the public does not realize this: with the widely praised game console Wii by Nintendo, MJPEG is back on stage, being the only video format that the device supports.
Our DirectShow SDK enables you to install this function in your programs. HDX4 MJPEG SDK smoothly integrates into your application and the Microsoft Multimedia-Framework and encodes quickly and in a convincing quality Motion JPEG-videos, supporting all common and important YUV- and RGB-colour standards.
MJPEG refrains from various compression techniques as they are known from MPEG-4 and therefore without exception consists of individual images, which are compressed similar to the JPEG standard.
This has the following advantages:
- MJPEG allows the manipulation of individual frames without influencing previous or following images.
- Positioning and cut are made accurately and adjusted to frame.
- Due to the technical standards' stability (keyword readability of format) and the complete image information they are suitable for long time archiving.
Our SDK provides these advantages as well as the possibility to create Wii-compatible videos (to be used via the photo channel of the device). Furthermore, one can control all components via an XML-file.
Additional features:
- JPEG-compression can be controlled via quantizer or constant bit rate
- 1-pass and 2-pass encoding
- JPEG 4:1:1 - lossy JPEG-image compression with high compression capacity and good colour quality
- JPEG 4:2:2 - lossy JPEG-image compression format with excellent colour quality, particularly suitable for most real life-videos
- JPEG 4:4:4 - colourfast, lossy JPEG- image compression for high resolution graphics
Flash Video Codec
Web 2.0 has arrived to stay. And the basis of numerous new user platforms from MySpace to YouTube is user-generated flash videos. The flash format is ‚simple', can easily be integrated in web sites, can be called from those sites as easily and is tremendously widespread. Therefore: keep at it, back the right horse and profit from our DirectShow HDX4 Flash SDK that allows you to convert all types of videos to flash formats, which 98% of all Internet users can watch in their browsers.
What is more: if your customers decide to download a flash video and store it on the computer, the DirectShow-Filter contained in SDK guarantees that it can be played with every DS-compatible media player (like Windows Media Player) or converted by any DirectShow-compatible converting software.
Further convincing arguments in favour of our HDX4 Flash SDK:
- Completely compatible to Macromedia Flash-products*. Flash files created with HDX4 can be played by all flash players, streamed via the Flash Media Server and imported to Macromedia Flash for processing.
- No restrictions of resolution. HDX4-flash videos also convince as high definition videos.
- Smallest file sizes
In addition, the product has been optimized concerning its main application field, the Internet. It is suitable for applications dealing with the online sharing of videos, as well as for Web-based authoring tools, learning management systems and presentation applications. Furthermore it brings the flash format to all kinds of desktop programs, video editors and converting tools.
Components and other features:
- Encoder for creation of flash videos
- Decoder for reading all common video formats
- Streaming support
- Works with an optimized H.263 codec engine
- Supports all modern encoding methods
- Handles coding with variable and constant bit rate as well as Multi-Pass
- Has a real time de-blocking filter
- Supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD)
- All components can be parameterized via XML
- Support of Flash Meta data like running time, time of creation, data rate, size, cue-points etc.
